Thomas Walker, M.D. is board-certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology and fellowship-trained in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Walker is a nose expert specializing in septoplasty, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), revision rhinoplasty, minimally invasive endosopic sinus surgery including balloon sinuplasty, and advanced endoscopic sinus surgery.  Having received sub-specialty training through a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Walker also specializes in minimally invasive aging face interventions including surgical and non-surgical procedures such as BOTOX, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser resurfacing. His cosmetic practice also includes blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), browlift (endoscopic browlift), rhytidectomy (mini-facelift and facelift), otoplasty (ear surgery), chin augmentation, neck liposuction, fat transfer, and laser skin resurfacing. Beyond aesthetic facial surgery, Dr. Walker is skilled in performing MOHs (skin cancer) reconstructions, scar revisions, keloid treatment, and facial trauma repair (soft tissue injuries and maxillofacial fractures).  He emphasizes a minimally invasive approach applying the latest surgical techniques.

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Walker has trained and worked with leaders receiving worldwide recognition in both, Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida – a world-renowned endoscopic sinus surgery and skull base center.  Following successful completion of residency, Dr. Walker was awarded a Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) at one of the most sought after training programs in the country with Dr. Dean Toriumi at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC).  As a fellow, Dr. Walker also served as a clinical instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery  at UIC and helped foster the facial plastic surgery skills of the residents.

Dr. Walker has authored numerous chapters in textbooks considered the leading resources in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery.  He has also published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and conducted important basic science and clinical research in both specialties. He has received numerous awards and honors throughout his medical career and surgical training. In his final year of residency, he was selected amongst his peers as Chief Resident.

Dr. Walker attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where he was inducted into the esteemed medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) during his junior year. He completed medical school in 2007 with high distinction, after graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science from Oakland University in 2003.  Dr. Walker is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS).
