Thomas J. Walker, MD, FACS Facial Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology Sinus, Head and Neck Surgery

Thomas J. Walker, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a double board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon, who underwent extensive fellowship-training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after his 5-year residency in Head and Neck Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) as well as by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOto).

Dr. Walker specializes in septoplasty, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), revision rhinoplasty, minimally invasive endosopic sinus surgery including balloon sinuplasty, and advanced endoscopic sinus surgery. Having acquired a unique set of skills under his fellowship mentor Dr. Dean Toriumi, a world-renowned rhinoplasty surgeon, Dr. Walker has the complete armamentarium to perform all ranges of rhinoplasty: primary rhinoplasty (first-time rhinoplasty), ethnic and Asian rhinoplasty, secondary rhinoplasty (revision rhinoplasty), including complicated cases such as saddle nose deformities, cocaine noses, cleft lip nasal deformities, noses damaged by implants or fillers, and septal perforations. Dr. Walker uses the least invasive technique possible to maximize the long-term aesthetic and functional outcome.  If cartilage from inside the nose (septal cartilage) is either insufficient or no longer present, Dr. Walker is among the few surgeons in the country with the ability to harvest and use the patient’s own rib (costal) or ear (auricular) cartilage to reconstruct the nose.

In addition to his nose expertise, Dr. Walker specializes in the latest surgical and non-surgical procedures in facial and neck rejuvenation including endoscopic brow or forehead lifts, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), otoplasty (ear surgery), neck lifts, mini-facelifts and facelifts, facial implants, chin augmentation, neck liposuction, fat transfer/injection, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, Botox, and dermal fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm.  He prioritizes a natural look employing the most minimally invasive technique and skillfully concealing surgical incisions.

Dr. Walker’s reconstructive expertise includes excision and reconstruction of skin cancers and other skin lesions, skin cancer MOHs reconstruction, scar revision, keloid treatment, and facial trauma repair (bony and soft tissue).

Through his residency training at a world-renowned endoscopic sinus surgery and skull base center at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Dr. Walker is a highly talented endoscopic sinus surgeon.  He treats a wide variety of paranasal sinus conditions, both medically and surgically, including inflammatory conditions such as acute or chronic rhinosinusitis.  Dr. Walker also performs balloon sinuplasty on his patients if medically indicated.

Whether a patient has aesthetic and/or functional concerns, nasal obstruction (deviated septum, nasal valve collapse, turbinate hypertrophy, inflammatory conditions such as sinusitis, polyps, nasal tumors, enlarged adenoids, allergies, etc.), acute or chronic sinus disease, nasal trauma, or nasal skin cancer, Dr. Walker is skilled to offer the best treatment possible for the vast array of nasal problems either through medical treatment or surgical treatment, which includes balloon sinuplasty, minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery, advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, turbinate surgery, rhinoplasty (both primary and revision), and nasal reconstructive surgery.
