Georgia Not the Worst Place to Live for Allergy Sufferers- Atlanta ENT

Despite what is expected to be one of the worst allergy seasons in memory, Georgia residents can certainly appreciate the fact that no Georgia cities made the Allergy and Asthma Foundation’s Spring Allergy Capitals top ten list. The list takes into account the tree pollen levels, number of board certified allergists per patient and the reliance on allergy medications that the cities residents report.

The list can come in helpful when planning your spring and summer vacations, though. Here is the list of the top places you may want to avoid this allergy season:

  1. Jackson, Mississippi
  2. Knoxville, Tennessee
  3. Chattanooga, Tennessee
  4. McAllen, Texas
  5. Louisville, Kentucky
  6. Wichita, Kansas
  7. Dayton, Ohio
  8. Memphis, Tennessee
  9. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

10. Baton Rouge, Louisiana

It is important to keep in mind that the number of board certified allergists per patient could be a bit misleading. With Chattanooga being so close to Atlanta, it’s pretty safe to say our pollen counts will be similar this year, making for a rough season for all allergy sufferers in the area.

Have you scheduled your allergy consultation with Atlanta ENT yet? Spring has sprung, and now is the time to do so!
