Sleep Apnea Awareness Week- October 1-7, 2013

(245/365) deep sleep...
The American Sleep Association has sponsored Sleep Apnea Awareness Week, from October 1- October 7, with the goal of raising awareness of the symptoms and life-threatening complications of sleep apnea. Last week, the American College of Physicians released new guidelines for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, or OSA, as well.

At Atlanta ENT, we take our patients’ overall health and well being seriously. What may be an inconvenience today, such as loud snoring, could cause serious health problems, some of which are life threatening, down the road. To show our support of Sleep Apnea Week, we will be dedicating this week to educating our patients and friends of the seriousness of obstructive sleep apnea through our blog and social media outlets.

Please join us in spreading the word about the potential dangers of obstructive sleep apnea this week. Diagnosing and treating sleep apnea is painless and could save your, or a loved one’s, life.
