Oral Appliances May Solve Your Snoring Problem- Atlanta ENT

Here at Atlanta ENT, we offer a wide variety of options for curing your snoring or sleep apnea and all of them can give you restful, healthy sleep every night of the week. However, everyone is different, so each treatment may or may not be right for you.

One of the least-invasive treatments for snoring and sleep apnea is an oral appliance called SomnoGuard. An oral appliance is a plastic shield that goes over your teeth, like a bite guard. However, instead of being used to protect your teeth, in this case it is used to control the position of the jaw.

In some people, snoring and sleep apnea are caused because the lower jaw pulls inward during sleep, obstructing the airways and causing problems. SomnoGuard is a comfortable, easy-to-wear mouthpiece that gently pulls the lower jaw outward, keeping those air passages open and clear.

SomnoGuard is the least expensive treatment for snoring and sleep apnea, and it has a success rate of up to 80%. It needs to be custom-fitted for you, but that fitting can be done quickly and easily right here in our office.

If you’ve put off seeking treatment for your snoring or sleep apnea, an oral appliance like SomnoGuard may be what’s right for you. Remember that untreated sleep apnea can lead to an increased risk for heart attack, cancer, and all manner of terrible, expensive problems. Take advantage of this simple, inexpensive treatment while you still can!
